Move over the online sales record of $14 billion set in China on Singles' day, a phenomenon in India is making news and how. In an epic day in e-commerce in India, 60,000 welcome kits of Maggi noodles were sold out in just five minutes on Snapdeal.
Maggi returned to the Indian market after a five-month long legal battle, throughout which it kept going for its loyal fans despite being ridiculed and shattered. But as it made a come back, it decided to do so in style by forming an alliance with Snapdeal, and a Maggi Welcome Kit which has 12 packs of Maggi, a Maggi calendar, fridge magnet and even a Maggi post card with a 'Welcome Back' letter, as reported by The Times Of India.
As Maggi brought out everything it had in this highly anticipated and emotional reunion, the consumers showed a lot of love, and purchased their favourite noodles, sharing some happiness with Snapdeal which was, "delighted to be the exclusive online partner to deliver Maggi back to the customers."
